Decatur Township Real Estate
Although Decatur Township may be the smallest in both population and geography of the nine townships of Marion County, it is home to one of the largest industrial complexes in the state, Ameriplex. The Ameriplex complex is one of the many additions Decatur Township has seen in the past decade, which also include additions to the Indianapolis International Airport. Decatur Township was originally settled by Quakers and is home to the small Quaker community of West Newton. Camby is another small community located in western Decatur Township. The township is composed of numerous large scale subdivisions, established neighborhoods, and rural farms.
Decatur Township is conveniently located with access to 465 and 67 and is bordered to the East by the White River. Decatur Township is served by the Metropolitan School District of Decatur Township and is home to the Hawks of Decatur Central High School. With its close proximity to the Indianapolis International Airport and sandwiched between Indianapolis and Mooresville, Decatur Township provides residents with ease of travel and a variety of employment opportunities and housing options.
